Through the clouds to the sun ☀️. November can be dull and depressing. But Mable and I decided to act and started a hike.
We climbed the 1545 meters high Wandberg (wall mountain) in Austria, just a few kilometers behind the border to Bavaria.
Temperature below zero. The clouds made it feel even more frosty. Sun was just a blurred spot. We really had to motivate ourselves to go on.
But after some more hight meters it seemed to become a little brighter…
And then we could finally see the sun. What a wonderful view. Down below the cold clouds, up here the brilliant snow in the sunshine.
We could already see the cross at the peak.
But first I had to take this little video. The impressive wall of rock on the other side of the valley is the Wilder Kaiser (Wild Emperor).
Of course Mable made it to the peak long before me.
We brought some Brotzeit. Hot tea and a bread with bacon. There was a bench and a wooden table with an exquisite snowy table cloth.
We sat there for while. Suddenly this little peak made it through the clouds, like an island in a white ocean.
