I met her when she was 13, I didn't really think she was stunning I had just finnished playing a war game in her basement with her brothers and I came upstairs and we just started talking. well I couldn't ask her out but something jumped in my 💓. so six years later I came back from the military and asked my buddy what ever happened to her. he said oh I think she's engaged. I figured what do I have to lose and went over to her house to talk to her brothers about something and her mom said she just broke up with her fiancee.

The fog was very heavy that night as you walked the streets late at night after a evening at the club. You smell the city and see faint street lights in the distant. the cool breeze sends chills up the back of your neck. You continue walking listening to you feet against the pavement and you turn a corner to go down an alley and there I am.

I have resisted opening this box for years. This box with the perfectly tied bow. This box that has a weight that seems to get heavier each rotation around the sun. This box with sanded corners. This box filled with possible answers but more likely lined with the unknown. This box tied with a delicate lace ribbon. The tips of my fingers start to caress the frayed edges but my reptilian brain jumps away opting for limbo.
